Johannesburg – Standard Bank has been recognised for its “excellence” in emerging markets as African Bank of the Year in The Banker magazine 2009 awards, the company said at the weekend.
The bank, with operations extending to 33 countries and total assets of $200-billion (R1500-billion), was also named Bank of the Year for South Africa and for Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland and Tanzania. – I-Net Bridge
