PORT Elizabeth fashionistas hoping to get ahead of the trend will get the chance to do just that when one of South Africa’s top stylists visits the friendly city.
Elle magazine’s fashion director, Chris Viljoen, will be the guest speaker at a cocktail evening on Wednesday, November 25. The Radisson Blu hotel in association with Sarita Ruby Dry invite all those with a love of fashion to meet and greet fashionistas, trendsetters and socialites at the hotel.
According to event co-ordinator Lauren Booth, the concept behind the event is to keep all lovers of fashion up to date with the latest summer trends and to give them an opportunity to interact with Chris, who is a fashion specialist and multiple Mondi Magazine award-winner.
“Chris has made a significant contribution to the local fashion industry and has played an integral role in the transformation of styling and conceptualising runway collections for SA Fashion Week. His discerning fashion knowledge hails from more than a decade of involvement in the fashion industry.,” says Lauren.
Guests at the event will be treated to snacks, drinks and gift hampers and will also stand a chance to win prizes from a range of sponsors
There will also be an auction for one night’s stay at the Knysna Elephant Park with proceeds donated to Paws, an animal welfare organisation recently opened on the Garden Route to accommodate the growing number of abandoned and neglected domestic animals.
