THIS week’s horror terrorist attacks which devastated India’s commercial hub Mumbai and in which more than 130 people died and many more were injured is once again a sobering reminder that no nation is safe from the fanatics who are prepared to die for their shadowy causes. While investigations into the motives for the attacks are still under way it is clear that it is once again Islamic extremists who have caused this unnecessary tragedy. These bloodthirsty terrorists, for that is what they are, clearly had absolutely no regard for the lives of those they targeted, indiscriminately spraying bullets at fleeing civilians many of whom were tourists. ...

THE annual hardy panto by Pemads has established itself as the quintessential family show – filled with all the cheer, charm and merriment associated with the festive season.
