Out of touch as Zim bleeds
THE statement by Zimbabwe‘s delusional leader Robert Mugabe that his country‘s cholera crisis was over was hardly unexpected, even though it is patently untrue. Mugabe has had a fleeting relationship with reality for the better part of a decade and by turning a blind eye to the humanitarian disaster befalling his people he has shown once again how deluded he truly is. Just a week ago his government declared an emergency and pleaded for outside aid to help fight the cholera epidemic sweeping through the country. At last count the official death toll was almost 800 people with many thousands more infected....
